Shoe Sculptures on Display at Shoe Carnival Headquarters

Without a doubt, women love shoes. However, who is to say whether women would love the shoes being displayed in the Shoe Carnival Corporate Headquarters lobby. There, artist John McNaighton produced gigantic shoe sculptures made of wood. Exhibited at the headquarters in Indiana, the shoes are approximately six feet long, two feet wide, and weigh at least 100 pounds. One shoe took over 100 hours, over three months, to manufacture.
"Shoe Art" is not only popular in Indiana, but exhibits are on the East and West Coasts of the U.S. There is also a gigantic sculpture of a women's shoe, made from 300 shoes, in Paris. That particular sculpture took over three years to create.
